Computational complexity of flat and generic Assumption-Based Argumentation, with and without probabilities

چکیده
Reasoning with probabilistic information has recently attracted considerable attention in argumentation, and formalisms of Probabilistic Abstract Argumentation (PAA), Bipolar (PBA) Structured (PSA) have been proposed. These foundational advances complemented investigations on the complexity some approaches to PAA PBA, but not PSA. We study an existing form PSA, namely Assumption-Based (PABA), a powerful, implemented formalism which subsumes several forms other Specifically, we establish membership (general upper bounds) completeness (instantiated lower reasoning PABA for class FP#P (of functions #P-oracle counting solutions NP problem) respect newly introduced verification, credulous sceptical acceptance function problems under ABA semantics. As by-product necessary results, provide comprehensive picture landscape (for both flat generic, possibly non-flat ABA) classical decision existence, those

Explained Activity Recognition with Computational Assumption-Based Argumentation
Activity recognition is a key problem in multi-sensor systems. In this work, we introduce Computational Assumption-based Argumentation, an argumentation approach that seamlessly combines sensor data processing with high-level inference. Our method gives classification results comparable to machine learning based approaches with reduced training time while also giving explanations.
متن کاملOn the computational complexity of assumption-based argumentation for default reasoning
Bondarenko et al. have recently proposed an abstract framework for default reasoning. Besides capturing most existing formalisms and proving that their standard semantics all coincide, the framework extends these formalisms by generalising the semantics of admissible and preferred arguments, originally proposed for logic programming only. In this paper we analyse the computational complexity of...

15 صفحه اولTwo Forms of Explanations in Computational Assumption-based Argumentation
Computational Assumption-based Argumentation (CABA) has been introduced to model argumentation with numerical data processing. To realize the “explanation power” of CABA, we study two forms of argumentative explanations, argument explanations and CU explanations representing diagnosis and repair, resp.
متن کاملAssumption-Based Argumentation Dialogues
Formal argumentation based dialogue models have attracted some research interests recently. Within this line of research, we propose a formal model for argumentation-based dialogues between agents, using assumption-based argumentation (ABA). Thus, the dialogues amount to conducting an argumentation process in ABA. The model is given in terms of ABA-specific utterances, debate trees and forests ...
